Il sarcoma di Kaposi più comunemente si localizza agli arti inferiori, ma
ogni regione mucocutanea può essere coinvolta.
Le regioni retroauricolari, i lobi dell'orecchio, il naso e la mucosa
orofaringea sono le sedi più frequentemente interessate.
Come le lesioni diventano più numerose, esse tendono ad assumere
carattere disseminato, bilaterale e simmetrico e tendono a seguire le
linee di Langer della cute.

Kaposi's sarcoma most commonly first appears on the lower extremities,
however any other mucocutaneous site may be involved. Commonly involved
sites include the posterior auricolar regions of the scalp, the ear lobes,
the nose, and the oropharyngeal mucosa. As the lesions become more
numerous, they tend to develop in a widely disseminated , bilateral
symmetric pattern of distribution. The lesions conform to the creases of
the skin (lines of Langer).
