Fig. 13 - Edema e segno della fovea (freccia). L'edema degli arti inferiori e delle regioni declivi puņ essere osservato molto frequentemente nei pazienti con epatite cronica e cirrosi. Usualmente la sua comparsa č successiva all'ascite ed č correlata alla ipoalbuminemia. Il blocco funzionale della cava inferiore dovuto alla pressione esercitata dal liquido ascitico puņ essere un fattore addizionale.

Fig. 13 - Oedema with the sign of the fovea (arrow). Oedema of the legs is frequently seen in patients with chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis. It usually follows the ascites and is related to hypoalbuminaemia. A functional inferior vena cava block due to pressure of the ascitic fluid may be an additional factor.
