It's a real pity we didn't have the camera this time, because we would have done some photo-montages with the bouncer's picture like the Italians did with referee Moreno after this year's Italy - S. Korea world cup game!
We went into the city at about half ten, here the evening starts at about midnight. We went to Cafe Ciudad, which among other things sells the best perculated coffee in La Paz. At eleven o' clock Mark came along with a girl from Kilkenny, Olivia. He's a real header and has been travelling South America for the last four months. At half midnight we headed towards "Dragonfly", which we had heard a lot about and plus there were some people meeting up with us there. There was a queue but it was moving, all you had to do was show your ID......or so we thought! When we got to the top of the line the bouncer told us that we didn't have a reservation. ¿Eh?
The King phoned the others to tell them to come out. They still had to arrive, so we went to a nearby bar and played 2-4 24, which is a pretty good dice game, while we waited for the others to arrive. When they arrived Mark went back to the hotel with Olivia. While Heart and the King went back to the club with 4 girls and 2 guys from La Paz.....sure to get in. NOT! The others got in! The bouncers after trying to tell us that you needed a reservation, saw that we weren't going to leave.....mainly because he was letting everyone else in.....the criteria wasn't just a Bolivian ID card, because the King had one, but you had to be small and dark as well. Then at one point, while the girls were inside looking for the owner (they know the guy) the bouncer turned around and said that we weren't allowed in because we were foreigners!! Try and do that in Europe and they call you a rascist, nazi and any other word under the sun! Our heroes went home........Heart didn't have enough Spanish to call the bouncer a *!?*%)0¿!¡.
Our heroes would like to thank Pamela & Co. who tried their best to convince the bouncers but to no avail.
