1. Do this Icons work on Windows 9x?

This icons work ONLY with Windows XP, due to the color depth(32 bit) and other windows version only support up to 24.

2. In your screen shots you show big icons, and i can't have them at that size

My icons have a resolution up to 128x128 while normal windows icons, are of 72x72. To get 128x128 icons, you need to edit the registry, and there is no danger on doing it and is 100% reversible. Check here for a tutorial.

3. How do I use the icons? I can't find a way to replace them.

You can replace some icons manually like my pc, recycle bin, network neighborhood, and my documents. However to change all the icons may be hard, so you need to use a program that changes the icons. The most popular are Microangelo and Icon Packager, you can get them both at download.com and check here for a tutorial on how to use them. Check this tutorial to learn more about it.

4. When I change to 128x128 icons, the start menu gets all weird, how can it be solved?

There is a way to decrease the size of the start menu icons, but it will in a list mode.

follow this:

1. right click the task bar and select PROPERTIES
2. Then select the Start Menu or second TAB
3. Select Customize of Start Menu (1st)
4. In a box it says Big Icons or Small Icons
5. Select Small Icons

This will make a list of the programs. The system icons like my pc, control panel, etc can be removed the useless or the less useful, in the windows opened on step 4

Select the 2nd Tab or advanced
and in the items of start menu, remove the ones that you don't use a lot, and useless ones. keep just the important ones.


If it just don't work good for you or don't like it on step 3, select the classic task bar
