About My Workouts...

Alot of people have asked about getting into shape. I plan to put a section about what I do in my workouts for those that are interested, but here's a quick outline: I lift 3 or 4 days a week...chest/back, biceps/triceps, and legs on different days. I usually use light weights with high reps and rest very little in between. I try and do cardio 3 times a week too...sometimes overlapping with my weight days. I change it up to keep it fun...I jog, bike, swim, box, play basketball, ski, use the stairclimber, or whatever i feel like doing that day. The key for me is to keep it fun...sometimes i will do two of those activities right after the other ( especially if i am training for a triathalon ) that way i don't get bored doing one thing for too long.

If your goal is to trim down, then i highly recommend cutting back on carbs. Sweets(especially if they are fat free...this means they are usually loaded with sugar), pasta, rice, and bread are the big ones to watch. These are good fuel sources, but most of us don't burn off the 'fuel' that we ingest, so it gets stored as fat. This tip alone completely transformed my waistline.

I should say, that all this works for me, and by no means am i an expert. If you are really serious about it, I would read as much as you can on the subject to get different peoples advice.
